Even at an early age, when Lori's family acquired a wildlife rehabilitator's permit, she was able to recognize that her interactions and experiences with wildlife were precious & rare. With an old 110 camera at the time, she began to document these moments, wanting to be able to share them with others. As her passion for the natural world blossomed, Lori purchased her first 35mm camera at the age of 18, and over the years has developed into the self-taught professional she is today. An appreciation for the outdoors inspires her to travel throughout the country, capturing the spectacular landscapes & incredible wildlife that each region has to offer. Her collection includes images from Alaska, the Canadian Rockies & Pacific Northwest, the canyons of the Southwest, the Smoky Mountains and a large selection of images from New England, especially from Maine. Using the camera as her tool, Lori captures magical moments in nature and brings them back to share with those not fortunate enough to experience them first hand. She hopes these images she creates bring you peace, pleasure, inspiration and a whole new respect for the fragile natural world that surrounds us. Originally from Woodstock, Connecticut, Lori relocated to Mt. Desert Island, Maine in spring 2005 to be closer to those subjects she loves to photograph so much.
